This is my second Seth Rogan film in about a few days (I saw the Pineapple Express earlier in the week) and I have concluded that too much Seth Rogan is NOT a bad thing.

The guy is hilarious, has the same kind of humor as I do and works with the top talents in Hollywood. I forget that ‘Zack and Miri’ is a Kevin Smith movie and I’m glad he didn’t show his fat face ala M. Night Shyamalan though his henchmen from his other movies such as Jason Mew (Jay) and Jeff Anderson (Randall) played supporting roles and did a good job convincing me that they can act as other characters.

What I liked: Elizabeth Banks. She’s attractive and funny and I hope to see her in more female lead parts. I hope success doesn’t get to her head and she does one of them Oscar movies. The movie was hilarious from the beginning to the end. I hope Smith make more movies like this than the disasters known as “Clerks 2″ and “Jersey Girl”.

What I hated: It was too damn short. I wish the story got more evolved and it felt like we got a cliff notes version of the script. The pacing was just too fast and when I wanted more, the movie was over.

Favorite Moments: Anything Jason Mewes. The guy is still hilarious and I would like to see him in more movies. Craig Robinson is growing on me, they really are leaching his fame from The Office. Sad.

Conclusion: It is what it is… two friends making a porno together and discovered they have more in common than living together as buddies. I give this movie 3-stars for good.

I finally got to see Wall-e on blu-ray. The movie was Pixar at their finest with great visuals and charming storytelling.

What I liked: The movie was short on dialouge but full of surprises. I was hooked from the beginning sequence from meeting Wall-e compacting trash to his pet roach. Everybody kept telling me the movie was cute but I think there is more to the story than just a miniature ”Johnny-Five” robot with a crush on an iPod… err robot named Eva. The theme of the movie is don’t waste the planet you live on now and start appreciating it before we all get sent into space to become tech-zombies.

What I hated: Eva! Wall•e! Eva! Wall•e! Eva! Wall•e! Eva! Wall•e! Eva! Wall•e! Eva! Wall•e! Eva! Wall•e! Eva! Wall•e! Eva! Wall•e! Eva! Wall•e! Eva! Wall•e! Eva! Wall•e! Eva! Wall•e! Eva! Wall•e! Eva! Wall•e! Eva! Wall•e! Eva! Wall•e! Eva! Wall•e! Eva! Wall•e! Eva! Wall•e! Eva! Wall•e! Eva! Wall•e! Eva! Wall•e! Eva! Wall•e!

Favorite moments: How every time something went wrong for a robot, it sounds like they mouthed off the “F-word”. The Blu-ray extras, especially Burn-e’s side story.

Conclusion: Another great movie by Pixar. I am looking forward to their next project: Up!

People that uses Twitter knows how effectively powerful and awesome it is as a social tool and a communications outlet. Whether it is sharing opinions, photos, thoughts; it is all what makes people come back for more. The question is “What are you doing?” not “How can can you annoy people right now?”.

There are some that does not get it and those that abuses the privilege of sharing. It is what it is. Micro-blogging your daily activities, communicating with friends, trading links and pictures. I just seeing a lot of problems lately on my timeline. I’m not one of the first adopters of Twitter but I learn by observations. In fact, I’m like a lot of people that first opened up a Twitter account and just left it dormant after a couple of updates. What drew me back was realizing how powerful of a tool it is to meet people and be part of the conversation.

Twitter is what the user makes it out to be but I think they are missing the boat on how to get their messages across.

I recently did a clean-up of who I am following and I made a simple guideline for myself. This was what I was looking at while doing the removal.

1. I kept my friends. People I know and care about. People I have followed for their insights and created more than just communications but friendship. There are countless people I have met through Twitter and a pleasure to meet. Some of these people I know are from outside the Internet world and most of them are developed through my daily use on Twitter.

2. People that abuses ‘re-tweeting’. I did not follow you to see other people’s tweets. I followed you for a reason. You did something to catch my attention and now you have blown it by constantly ‘re-tweeting’ somebody else’s update and most of the time it is something I’m not interested with. It totally kills my timeline and the relationship I have with you. What happens in the long run is that you become invisible. I ignore your tweets because I am expecting mediocrity from your updates. Stick to your own ideas and thoughts but please keep the echoes to a minimum. Once you have crossed the line, I stop following you .

3. People that post what they are listening to. There are outlets for this such as blip.fm. To me, it is cool to post a good tune you listen to but not a mass amount of music you are listening to every 3 minutes. Like reason #2, it gets old and annoying fast.

4. People who just are not interesting. I’m sure I’ve been eliminated by numerous users for being a chatter-head or I may be boring but I feel like this rule is a given as universal. If I find you boring, you are outta here!

5. People who uses automation. Do I really have to explain this one? I want real people behind an update not a bot.

6. People that just not interacting with me. Now this happens to a lot of Twitter users. I don’t have many followers but I guarantee you I try to keep up with everyone of them and communicate with them when they interact with me. Most of the time it is a big name user or a c-class celebrity that think they are too good for responding to a fan. I can understand they have a huge following but if there is no trading of feedback, especially when I know they are following me back? If they don’t bother to answer anything I ask whether it is in the public timeline or a direct message than it is not worth my time.

So, if you are gone from my timeline, I apologize but it is nothing personal. I want my Twitter experience to be great and worth my time as much as yours. I’m sure there will be a backlash to this but if you have a valid response on why my reasoning are invalid, please let me know. Maybe I’ll put it in consideration.

I knew I should have made the drive to Washington D.C. to actually be at the Inauguration of Barack Obama but watching it on TV and actually doing the coverage at the newspaper got me ringside seats to the event.

At first I felt like this event and this change of administration is heavily overblown but at the same time you can feel the presence of change. You can see it on the face of the people as the cameras panned on their faces. I voted for the guy for his politics but I didn’t realize he is a symbol of HOPE as he is marketed.

Do I approve that Barack Obama should be president of the United States of America? You damm right I do, I voted for the guy!

So I am excited and cautiously optimistic that something good will come out of this. This is the day after events of yesterday and after seeing what he has done on the first day on the job today, I believe there will be a lot of positive change in the near future for the better in my current world.

What did my friends say today, the Year of Danh? I’m thinking they are on to something.

I’m not going to say 2008 was not a bad year. There were many milestones and moments that I would not trade it in for anything. I had a life alternating moment this past Summer. When dealing with relationships, you can learn alot about a person but you find out more about yourself as time goes by. I do not want to make one bad experience dictate an entire year but I will say that it was a catalyst for the things to come.

For the first time in a long time I’m getting refocused. I need to focus on the things in my life that matters to me. I need to get back to the swing of things and not just say it but do it. I have a lot planned out not just for 2009 but in the long haul.

I’m going to write down some personal goals and there are too many ideas to jot down and too many things I want to do. This blog post is my first step to a new direction in my life. I’m not going reinvent my world but I would like to make it where I can look back and be proud of what I have established. I would like to make the best life possible for myself and the people around me. With that said, I cannot wait to see what can happen in 2009.

After a slight hic-up with my computer, I finally am up and running.

I think the main concern for me through this trip was the driving and it has already taking a toll on me. The drive out did not start as well as I liked to and 3 hours of sleep didn’t help the cause either.

The Denver Broncos gameon Monday Night Football did not end until 12:30am I only had 3 hours of sleep because I told my brother I would take him to the airport and he wanted to be there by 5:00. After I got home at 6am, I got the truck ready and headed out for coffee. I didn’t realize the check light engine was on till I started driving, so I made a quick stop at Kwik Kar and they changed my oil and replace my transmission fluid. Then FINALLY I was heading out on the road but then it happened: I started to have “little girl’s bladder” had to make 4 stops on the way to Albuquerque. I usually hate stopping unless I had to but this was getting really annoying at a point where I was literally pissed about it.

Tuesday also was the day that Apple had a press conference where they released new iPods. As I was in ABQ, I decided to stop by and see if they had anything new on display. Turns out, the staff had no clue what the announcements were going to be until the day of and they had no new products out. I then found out that I left my power chord to my MacBook at home and I had to buy a temporary replacement…. 80 dollars later. I plan to sell it off on eBay or something later.

So the trip to ABQ was a nice pitstop and I was on my way to Flagstaff, Arizona. The trip was not as bad as getting to ABQ, very scenic and straight forward. Once I arrived in Flagstaff I immediately fell in love with the small town feel. I walked around the Route 66 district and the community had plenty of local restaurants and coffee shops. Oh, and bicyclists were everywhere! It reminds me of Colorado Springs but I enjoy Flagstaff for its bicycling friendly community.

As I was looking for a place to eat, it started raining and I found a nice place called Beaver Street Brewery. The atmosphere was great as this is a restaurant people wait 50 minutes for a table. I got a quick seat by sitting at the bar. The bartender helping me out was a complete ass. I guess they don’t serve “my kind” around that area and wonder if I didn’t read the town memo on minorities. Afterwards I needed an internet connection and went to a coffee shop called Macy’s Fresh Roasted Coffee but I was so tired to post anything so I made this cheap post and went to bed.

So after a long day of driving nearly 11 hours on the road, it was time to sleep.

Sleeping in the car was part of the trip. I didn’t budget in hotel cost because I’m cheap and that I think I have a vehicle that can be comfortable. On the first night, I was wrong about that. Since it was raining I didn’t want to leave my bike out in the elements. if it was a mountain bike I would but it’s a city bike, made for commuting. So it was still in the back of the forerunner while I attempted to sleep. I parked by a hostel and set up “camp” I parked in front of a dorm where there was no light, assuming it was unoccupied. After getting over the paranoid feeling of a cop looking in the car or just being out there alone in front of a building, I eventually fell asleep. Sleeping in the back was not only uncomfortable but the most cramped situation I ever slept in.
